It's been a week of migraines. Hopefully this is it for a while.
Had some storms last night- well- high winds, some places had 100mph. No lightning though- so it wasn't really one of those that brought *energy* with. I like those.

Watched a few movies. One was filmed at a sanitarioum (i cant spell this morning, screw it) here. The movie is called Death Tunnel.
Also watched Venom (sucked) and one called Madhouse (not bad).

Time for my next round of movies. All week has been taken up with reunion planning crap. Today I'm taking a break.
Mom's still trying to get in and see about her melanoma, and my husband has an identical spot on his back. So now I need to get him an appointment. Think I'll do that now.

wonder why some people are such assholes? lol

I had a theory about Maria from Silent Hill 2, and mentioned it, just to see if it was possible you know? How come I basically get kind of talked down to in a condescending way? *scratches head* In my opinion eighty- percent of those people look far too deep into it to prove it wrong, but whatever =)

Kitties are doing marvelous. When they're sleepy enough they curl up on top of my big dog and sleep. Really cute stuff.

My husband let me get *TWO* kittens!
A couple had some to give away...I got 2 little black kitties- boy and girl- siblings. They're adorable...pictures coming soon of course!

Here are some idea for the names..(I've always used mythology or similar for pets' names)
Check them out:

Boy names:

Capt. Jack
Osiris
Anubis
Azrael (angel of death in mythology)
Caesar

Girl names:

Akasha
Cleopatra
Isis
Aradia

I'm still thinking of names, and watching the personalities. The girl is feisty and always exploring. The boy is shy and cries a lot.

what else can go wrong?

I swear, when we got our tax refund back, it must have sent a memo to the world saying, "We've got MONEY- PLEASE SCREW US OVER!"

Let's see...the motherboard got fried. Had to purchase new one. Leak occured in upstairs bathroom and came through ceiling. Dog had to be hospitilized for eating chocolate. Dog caught kennel cough while there- more vet bills. Husband's expensive multimeter bit the dust- there goes another $60 bucks.
And there's more, but you get the idea.

I did finally convince hubby to let me get a kitten.....though I'm not sure we can afford one right now, unless someone is giving them away. Not to mention it's another month before the kittens really start being born. I do so hate waiting. :/

My friend bought me a bunch of Burt's Bees products, so I've been using those religiously. I love the wild lettuce complexion soap and tomato toner. Keeps my skin yummy looking. But it doesnt take much to aggravte my skin- I wish I knew why it's so sensitive now. Sometimes I get hives from being outside. Bleh.
I never get skin on my face, and I dont wear foundation, so one would THINK my skin would be pretty good, but nope. It's clear of blemishes, but it get red and splotchy.
I know the guys dont care *grin* but perhaps one of the gals on my friends list has some idea?

I'll try to catch up with everyone later....I've not been online much AT ALL...I guess it's a needed break sometimes.

Moving right along

$200 and a day later, and my dog is home. :)
He was depressed yesterday, but he went through a lot. He weighs 91 pounds. Big ol' puppy, lol.

My MOTHER is coming over today, she's going to help me work on the house. I am a horrible house keeper and she is excellent, so she's offered to pitch in a hand. That's sad, I know. Most likely we'll end up arguing anyway.

I have so much in my head that I wish I could bring myself to write down. I think I'm afraid of the avalanche effect, that when I start it just won't stop. One word will bring down the whole mountain of madness that's stuck inside my brain. *sigh*

On another note- I want to move. Mike was actually keen on the idea...so I think that's the next big plan. Save money, look for house. This one is just too small. A great starter house! But i want hallways, and big open rooms, and lots of windows with light. I want to look out and not see my neighbor's house 5 feet away.
I have dreamed of the house I want....it's in Maine. Ha. I guess we could relocate, I don't know. That is a plan still far off.
I just hate this neighborhood and I'm growing to detest this house.

Still sick, but not as bad. Mostly exhausted and congested.

Hubby also came down sick, so this weekend was pretty quiet. He did go to a friends house friday to mess around with guitar, and I kept the kids.
We played video games all night and then watched CSI.

Saturday night Mike took some Nyquil and passed out, so the little one and I watched Land of the Dead, Deep Blue Sea, and was about to watch Anaconda, but I was just too tired.

Xbox girl emailed me again, but I really dont need to read more of her rude letters, so I just deleted it without opening.

Sorry for the super boring entry, not much to write about since I've been sleeping/laying down most of the week.

I think the medication has made my husband depressed again. He isn't really talking to me, he goes to bed *really* early, and isn't eating.
This happened last time, but he went off of it. Of course he's in denial if I try to point it out. :(

Rented Boo! and watched it by myself at 2am last night. I was expecting it to be super cheesy, but in fact it wasn't bad. Decent budget it seemed.
Strange that my 4 year old LOVES horror movies. The scarier the better. He will beg for more. I dunno...my 9 year old will scram the second he hears scary music lol.
Maybe I'll drag my little one to see Silent Hill the movie. HAHA...I can imagine the looks I'd get!!!!! ^_~

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE TAX TIME

We filed our taxes today! We should have the refund relatively quickly since we filed so early. I can't wait.
Even if a lot of it is going to have to be used to pay off stuff like Best Buy account. DO NOT GET THEIR CREDIT CARD. Wow. Enough said.

Let's see....I'm doing a few trades/purchases with some lovely ladies from the LJ communities. I'm getting a burt's bee's kit, some duwop lip venom, and lots of other great goodies. :)
Oh, I'm also getting a chocolate fondue perfume, YUM! That stuff smells too, too, good!

Ok, enough girly stuff.

So tomorrow is Friiiiiday....what is everyone up to? I think we're going to stay home and hang out. Watch movie, play game, something like that. When our refund comes in we'll be more likely to do the dinner/movie thing, but right now we need to save bucks.

We're planning our 10 year class reunion. Well, I've offered to help, anyway.
I can't believe it's been that long!! It seems like yesterday. :( And in my childlike mind, everyone has been preserved as they were....so the wakeup call has sometimes been disturbing.
But anyway, wow. It almost makes me sad....just remembering old times and old friends. Most likely we won't be able to track even 50% of the class down, which is sad. I miss high school sometimes. :(

not a whole lot going on.........

I downloaded a screensaver (spooky) and wallpaper from the Silent Hill movie website. Annnnnd....I played SH 2 and the sub scenario "born from a wish".
Figure I'll do Silent Hill-ish things until April when the movie releases. Heh.

Called Paypal to inquire on whether they had any information. Of course they dont. I asked why I was able to dig up info, but they've had weeks and havent found anything. The guy said normally it shouldn't be this long (in other words they arent going to do jack shit).

My Netflix movie "The Magic Kitchen" is due here Friday. Yay! Finally something new to watch. I think I'll get Tony Leung's "Ashes of Time" next, though there are a few others I'm torn between.

Anyone seen any new films? Nothing is striking my fancy at the theatres lately.

Sorry for the brief absence.

Hubby and I went out to the asian buffet Saturday. Yum!
We attempted going to watch Underworld 2 twice, and somehow got screwed up both times. Afterwards we admitted to each other that neither of us really wanted to see it anyway. Haha.
Watched the Pianist instead. Really good film.
Not to mention Adrien Brody = love.

Today is rainy and freezing, plus I'm not feeling that well. It's a good night to settle in with a book. I'm in the mood for something creepy. I read Hell House and that wasn't bad. Any ideas?

I'm be catching up with my friends' lists tonight/tomorrow... hope everyone is well!

It snowed.
Moving right along....

Paypal turned my case over to their fraud dept., apparently the girl transferred my $$ into another paypal account that happens to be in the same state as her. So they're invesitigating and trying to link the two.
I'll keep ya posted.

In other news, money is a bit tight this week, so I'm going to have to think of something hubby and I can do this weekend without spending money. Hopefully one of my netflix movies will come in, and we can watch it and I'll make dinner. Simple pleasures ya know? Gah, I'm just getting old.

Ok, weird question for you guys.
I suck at cleaning/organizing, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips? I'm the WORST housekeeper in history, which is weird, because I cant stand messy. Ironic.
But it's like...I will see people's houses, and they are cluttered, but it still looks good.

Man, I'm so pissed off.
You've heard me rant about the Xbox, right? Well, after I filed the Paypal claim....after I haven't heard from this girl in over TWO weeks...she emails me.
Guess why?

To get angry at ME for filing a claim. She more or less called me a scammer, saying I probably had received it, and was saying I wasn't so that I could get a refund. She then proceeded to say she wasn't concerned with it, because she had already closed her paypal account and they couldn't refund me anyway.

What NERVE. I scraped hard earned cash for that to be a present for my son...hell, I have great feedback as a seller/buyer/trader...how DARE she try to say I would lie? This is why in the beginning I asked her to put delivery confirmation AND insurance on it.
She of course still hasnt managed to type the info from the postal receipt, or scan it. I told her even if I didnt receive it or a refund, if she could *prove* she mailed it I would feel better.
She can't give me even that.

Sometimes I wish I didn't require so little sleep.
Like today, for some reason I was especially tired by 10pm. However, if I go to bed anytime BEFORE midnight, I'll be wide awake after an hour, and up the rest of the time.
So...usually I go to sleep around 3am, and get up at 6am. I've been like this since I was a child. A blessing sometimes, sure.....but I would like to keep normal hours every once in a while.
Strange thing to complain about I guess. :/

Tomorrow (friday) Mike goes in for his tests. He's nervous I can tell...I can only try to be there for support.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Friday the 13th. :)
I may make this friends only soon- or at least a few posts....since I was thinking of posting pictures, and I'm not comfortable with everyone and their mother viewing them. Heh.

That is all, folks.

I think I'm going to reinstall Silent Hill 4 on the pc. I'm having SH withdrawal symptoms. :(
Then come April, I get to see the movie and be absolutely thrilled, or absolutely horrified depending on what they do to it.

Since Michael always is so wonderful about watching asian horror with me, I was nice and watched a film with him. Cinderella Man. It was good, really- even without the whole "boxing" theme to it, there was more.

But tonight I've got Phone :)

I'm in one of those moods today. Not happy, not depressed- strangely thoughtful. My "sensitive" side is heightened- as in I'm TUNED IN...if you get my drift. It's hard to explain.

Friday is the 13th. Gasp. MOVIE MARATHON with Jason Vorhees!! hehe. I'm a horror movie fan, can you tell?

And...Sunday I pick up my wedding band. Enlarged to a size 4 and a half. lol. The women so embarassed me by picking it up and exclaming (quite loudly) "Awww look how little!" since it was a 3.

Yeah. Now if only my ass could be like that.......*snicker*

Yawn....and other things...

Out of lack of a better entry, I thought I'd tell more about me. Maybe people on my friend's list will do the same? :)

I'm lefthanded. I do NOT act my age, though I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet.

I love horror movies. I love asian horror movies the best. I also like movies like King Arthur, Troy, The Last Samuari, and Gladiator.

I like medieval weaponry. And war gaming. (though i dont play.)

I can be pretty judgemental, but I'm also very open-minded. Which makes sense...somehow.

I am not religious in any way, shape, or form. Spiritual maybe. I do like reading and learning about various religions, but I am definately NOT the person you want to shove it down.

I like girly things- pink, rhinestones, hearts. hello kitty....but I'm the first one in line to make mud pies and catch bugs. I used to have snakes and I miss them.

I love animals. That is NOT selected to "cute kittens and puppies". I love reptiles, fish, insects. And I won't kill any of it unless it's mauling my child or something equally disturbing. All spiders must be caught by me and delivered to the outside, as well as anything else we catch lurking.

I also HATE seeing people leave dead animals in the road. Not to gross or weird anyone out...but unless it's ....uh.."unmovable" then I'll most likely go and give it a proper burial.

Heh. And I wonder why I have no friends. lol.

Let's see...I get frequent migraines. I swear far too much....I feel I'm growing boring.

I still get celebrity crushes- my list of sweeties?

Tony Leung Chiu-Wai

Adrien Brody

Gackt

Johnny Depp

Chris Cornell

Andrew Lau

I'm sure there are more, those are just top of my head. *yawn*

I could add things like my favorite food is....hell, i dont even know. I think I've bored myself. Wow.

Well. It was something at least. And....well, I've got a migraine so I'm going to skip out.

Randomness rocks.

There's a mouse in my house.
And he's quite *fat*. Hubby and I are trying to catch/release it but no luck.
No, we don't do the mouse poison/mouse traps- sorry. Unless they are live traps but those don't work very well.

Remember One Missed Call? I want this for my ringtone ;)
http://www.asianfeast.org/images/fanasian/chakuari.mid

It was warm enough to open the windows yesterday. It's JANUARY- WTF? I dont even bother to try and pack summer clothes away anymore. What's the use?

Filed my paypal claim. It won't get my money back, but...at least I attempted it. Stupid girl. Stupid Xbox that I'll never see. Stupid me for getting scammed. (again)

I thought about making a goofy, girly, crush post. You know...with pictures of everyone I find "hot".
I know that would bore people to tears, but my journal needs some action, damnitt.

I dreamt of a place called Yaktar last night...a kingdom bordered by a huge metal wall and with rivers on all sides.
Then I dreamt of hot cocoa and a fish tank that I kept Patrick the starfish in (from spongebob) only he was wearing one of those executioner's hoods.....and this is only one of many odd dreams I've been getting.
Where are my prophetic ones?!!? Where are my mindtwisting-etc.,...I swear, the one I've had lately are just....i dont even know.

Some movies I forgot to note.

A House of Mad Souls: I didn't get more than 15 minutes into this film. I'm guessing the budget was low? Some people can still pull it off, but in this case, the 2004 made film looked more from the 80's. And not in a good way.

The acting (from what I could sit through) was emotionless, bland...yuck. Apparently my DVD player thought it sucked too, because it spat it out. LOL.

Even sadder still- I looked up Netflix reviews on it, and saw one almost WORD FOR WORD of mine. Geesh. Steer clear of this one, folks.

Tales of Terror from Tokyo, Japan: This is a compilation of various short "mini" films. They are from stories locals told to the filmmakers. Some seem pointless, and may make more sense without the translations. Others were definately creepy. Some were very obviously tales similar to urban legends we have here. Not bad if you don't have time for a whole movie in one setting- you can watch a couple here and there.

Ok.
I have to file my first paypal claim :(
Anyone ever had to do this and can give me some tips?

On another note, my husband is scheduled for EKG and CAT scans...I'm worried. He has episodes of diorientation, confusion, and he almost passes out. (Amongst other various symptoms)
He went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor kept shining the light in his eyes, writing something down, doing it again...and so on. So they want to check his "head" ugghhh....with his family history i'm already imagining brain tumors and such.
His father died from cancer at 42, his granfathers died from it, his mom had cancer, and his aunt just recovered from a brain tumor and she's in her early 40's.

afsdlgsfgflgdf! just venting. I'm supposed to think positive or something.
Just have a lot on my mind.

I've seen a lot of people talking about their journals getting hacked. I mean- it's happening to a lot of people. :(

Soooooooo....please- if you receive a comment from me and I insult you or say something rude- please keep that in mind.
I do not know for sure what's going on. Some people have said they received emails from Livejournal advising them to change their passwords, but they thought it was silly and didn't do it. Annnnnnnnnnd then their journals end up hacked.
Better to be safe so I'm giving a heads up.

Thank ya!

Ok. Well.......the Xbox I bought from that girl is STILL NOT HERE.
She mailed it the 17th. I'm getting worried, naturally. She was only a few states away after all.

I watched One Missed Call again. I enjoy that movie. I also need to get Tales of Terror From Toyko volume 2.
I sometimes I wish I had close friends- more anyway, so we could have asian horror movie night. Alas, I don't really have any. Which I can never figure out....but that's for another day.

Ok, so- after a 75 degree day and toranado warnings, we're having a 45 degree day and snow flurries. What is wrong with this picture? Stupid weather. How I am ever to know what to wear?
